MS in Entomology from Purdue University

Adam Witte is an ISA certified arborist with an MS in entomology which he obtained while studying at Purdue University. While working in the ornamental entomology lab, Adam quickly developed an affinity for trees and enjoyed learning about the interactions between insect pests and their host trees. After graduating, Adam worked for Purdue University as the Exotic Forest Pest Educator where he helped organize and participated in statewide extension and outreach programs designed to help bring awareness to invasive pests of trees. It is through these experiences where Adam was able to work and collaborate with some of the best researchers of emerald ash borer and other pests of trees.
In early 2015, Adam and his girlfriend, Jacquie, moved to Colorado with their dog, Belle. Adam’s interests were to explore opportunities to help share his knowledge of emerald ash borer and other tree issues as well as to broaden his own understanding and experiences of new trees and pests.
An avid sports fan, you can find Adam on the golf course, in a bowling alley, or playing volleyball in his spare time as well as exploring a growing interest in hiking and snow shoeing. Adam and Jacquie have taken advantage of the vast beer culture that exists in Colorado and enjoy attending craft beer festivals and breweries to find the next great beer.
Adam is easy to talk to and enjoys engaging with local communities to help promote the benefits of trees and how to maintain them in our harsh, arid climate.
